THE LIGHT LAB CLASS MEETS ONCE A WEEK TO EXPLORE LIGHT AND STORYTELLING. DURING THE BOWELS OF THE PANDEMIC, WE CREATED WORK AT HOME USING PREVISUALIZATION AND OTHER MEANS OF CREATING THAN A TRADITIONAL CLASS SETTING.

STORYTELLING SCENARIOS
THE PROMPT- AN ACCUSED CRIMINAL IS BEING QUESTIONED BY DETECTIVES IN A BARREN HOLDING ROOM IN THE MIDTOWN POLICE STATION. FOR SOME BIZARRE REASON TWO POLICEMEN SINGING CHRISTMAS CAROLS CARRY IN A FULLY DRESSED TREE, LOADED WITH MULTICOLORED BULBS. AS THEY PLUG THE TREE IN, THE ROOM IS ILLUMINATED WITH A BLAZE OF FLICKERING LIGHT. A FEW SECONDS LATER THE ROOM’S OVERLOADED CIRCUIT BREAKER TRIPS, PLUNGING ALL INTO DARKNESS, THE SHAPES OF THE MEN REVEALED REVEALED ONLY BY A SINGLE STREETLIGHT FILTERING THROUGH A SMALL WINDOW IN ONE CORNER OF THE ROOM.
